Video wall is a system composed of several screens (such as LCD or LED) or projectors working together to render a single image. These displays are usually arranged in a matrix format, but more complex arrangements are possible.

Video walls are usually cheaper than other technologies for large surfaces. They are also easier to transport and to be installed. Displays are controlled by hardware to synchronize the images.
Some displays are currently designed and produced to target videowalls, with thin borders, easy fitting and even embedded hardware to divide the images. More complex systems use a separate hardware control system.
